Want To Join The Art Alphabet Project?

I want to do an art study of the alphabet as my new up and coming project and I am now putting out a call for others who may be interested in taking part.

Im not 100% sure of the exact hows and whys as yet, Im still frantically making lots of notes about it and making it up as I go along (as usual) But this is the rough idea I have for it so far:

Basically it will take place in the styles and formats of  Lynne Perrella and her books: Alphabetica and Art Journals and Sketchbooks.

Other publications which may be of interest for this are: True Colors and Signatures by Somerset.

We wont be actually following the techniques etc in books mentioned, I have  just listed them to give you an idea of what style I have in mind for this project.

For this art-venture we’ll each need either a sketchbook or a hardback book we can alter and decorate – you can choose either, whichever your comfortable with. And for this particular group study we would be dedicating each page in our books to a letter of the alphabet.

Ive been wanting to do a project like this for a while as I think it would be a good personal challenge, but I got to thinking that it would be so much more fun if other people got involved with it too and played along.

Which is why Im posting this message, Im calling out for art addicts, background junkies, collage chixs and mixed media misfits to join me on the art journey.

If YOU would like to take part in this, leave me a message on this blog post or send me an email and I will send you an invite to the special group I am going to set up just for this study.

I hope you will take the proverbial bull by the horns and join me on this new exciting art journey!

Nature Journal Page

Heres another journal page I uploaded to flickr which I managed to get finished this week.

I decided not to do any doodling on this page or writing because to me it felt finished, even though I had really added anything apart from the images you can see on it. They kinda flow together and I didnt want to interupt the feeling of the page with my doodling if that makes sense.

Heres the page below, dont forget to click if you want bigger pics:

Time To Chill Journal Page

I uploaded these journal pages to flickr a few days ago and forgot to blog them! Eeek! Fibrofogged out at the moment and Im finding it hard to concentrate properly and keep doing the most stupid of things!! The weather in England has been nonestop rain for 2 weeks and its nasty! I cant walk due to the dampness in the atmosphere and Im constantly limping with lower back pain.

Despite all of that I did manage to get 2 journal pages finished and here is one of them below, its a doodly page which Im addiced to doing at the moment:
